hello, my name is Alina and I am a 17 year old girl who is interested in caring for the seas and oceans, that is why I am interested in the world oceans day campaign as a reminder of the dangers to the underwater realms of the united nations due to the enhanced pollution living in the seas, although I do not live near the sea, I like to keep it clean because I like some of the species that live in it and would like to see them continue to be preserved, that is why I am interested in participating in this world oceans day campaign. With 90% of large fish stocks depleted and half of the coral reefs destroyed, humans are taking more from the ocean than can be replenished, with consequences that are increasingly difficult to ignore.  "The fate of billions of people is tied to the world's oceans," said Susan Gardner, Director of UNEP's Division of Ecosystems. "In the coming years, the planet needs to come together to relieve the pressure on our oceans and undo the damage that has been done." it is with this in mind that. I am interested in being a partner in this campaign. 

some recommendations to do when you go to the sea 

1: you should not litter the beaches with trash such as straws or plastic bags. 

2: you must conserve the animals that live in the sea and you must not kill or harm them. 

3: you should not use creams or perfumes in the water because this affects the animals. 

4: For World Oceans Day, we, as the campaign organization, proposed that no one should go into the sea to fish and that beaches and seas should be closed on that day.  

 5: One of the recommendations we proposed as a campaign is to be more conscious as human beings towards endangered species and not to dump waste in the oceans or throw chemicals that affect the species. 

Hi, I'm Alina and this time I will tell you about my experience as a volunteer in the World Oceans Day campaign to remember the dangers of the underwater realms.

The first day I arrived at the place was nice, I was welcomed with kindness, the weather was very nice for me personally when it comes to the environment I like it. I met wonderful people.

My second day was wonderful, I was able to clean beaches and I was able to meet wonderful species that are largely being killed

by pollution of the beaches and as it was the world day of clean oceans I liked to help species in need.

The next day I was able to meet the whales and to see that when the ocean is clean they enjoy their habitat and as it was the international day of clean oceans as a campaign we were able to do a good job so that more species can live for more years.

On my last day I did not want to leave, but when the time came I was able to observe the work we had accomplished and the day became very special for me and it is a memory that will remain in my heart and if another opportunity comes up I will gladly do it.
